Robert Treskillard's books offer an imaginative retelling of the Arthurian legend, beginning with the origins of Merlin. True to their medieval world, the stories are a bit on the violent side, and not surprisingly, they have a strong supernatural element. But the stories are well-written with strongly flawed but empathetic characters.
I was introduced to Mr. Treskillard's books through a blog tour that I participate in. I'm not a huge fan of most Arthurian legend stories--they simply aren't my cup of tea--but Mr. Treskillard's skills were able to win me over, landing a place on my conference tables.
The books found at Imagination Investigation:
Merlin's Blade
Merlin's Shadow
Merlin's Nightmare
