While perhaps not my favorite of Disney animation (to the shock of many Disney fans, I'm sure), Lion King deserves a place on this list, as it is considered by many as Disney's best animated film ever made. (Beauty and the Beast still holds that spot for me personally.)
But whether it is the best film is not relevant. It remains a hallmark of Disney animation, and the complexity of the characters, the phenomenal storytelling, and the strong emotional arcs in this story make it well worth a revisit. Besides, watching Timon do the hula in front of a pack of hungry hyenas is sure to bring a smile.
