June Writing Update

Writing this past month has been slow. Visiting family cut a little more into writing time than anticipated, and though I don’t regret the time away, I didn’t accomplish as much as I hoped.

I have also hit the muddy middle, not only of book 2, but of the entire trilogy. This part is always a bit slow for me. The story I thought I was writing has generally been smashed to smithereens by this point, requiring me to step back and reanalyze. So I’ve spent time untangling the mess I’ve created and trying to figure out exactly where I’m going next.

But I’m hopeful that a breakthrough is near, and new pages will soon start stacking up again.
